Mincemeat

Is it too soon to talk about Christmas? Well, this blog isn't really about Christmas, it's about mincemeat.
Look at what I found in Kaldi the other day:
It's a jar of Wilkin & Sons mincemeat! And as you can see from the label, this company is from Tiptree in Essex. You might know that I come from Essex.
Wilkin & Sons jam isn't so rare in Japan, you can find it in most import shops, and I even saw it used in a hotel in Tokyo once. But this is the first time that I've seen their mincemeat in an import shop. I was pleasantly surprised to come across it.
I'm thinking of using this mincemeat to make a quick, microwaved Christmas Pudding on Christmas Day. Last year I used a fruit filling, but this year I'll use the mincemeat. I wonder how it'll turn out?
