今回のブログは、最近読んだ本→好きな作家→今読んでいる本 という流れで進んでいきます。
Hello, everyone! How've you been?
I’ve recently finished reading the latest English Haruki Murakami novel. It’s called; Killing Commendatore. Have you read it? I really enjoyed it, and as someone who studied art at university (as part of my animation degree), I appreciated the main character being an artist.

There are two authors I have been into these past few years. One is Kazuo Ishiguro, the other is Murakami. I find that Murakami takes us on a bizarre and dark journey in his novels. Ishiguro, on the other hand, takes us on a human journey, looking at conscience, morals and what it means to be a person.
I enjoy work from both authors. But now, I’ve decided to read a totally different kind of book.
I’m currently reading about the NASA moon missions in the 1960s. The book, Apollo — Expeditions to the Moon, goes into great detail about the Apollo programme, and the crucial Gemini missions that preceded it. If Apollo asked 'how do we get men on the moon?', Gemini asked 'how do we operate in space?'
It's a really interesting read, if a bit complicated. The book was written in the 1970s, not long after the Apollo missions had finished. As such, the atmosphere in the book is of the recent past. Of course, the Apollo missions are no longer a feature of the recent past, and it’s a little depressing to think all these years later, no men or women have stepped on the lunar surface.
The president of ZOZO town will travel to — but not touch down on — the moon in the near future. Maybe this is the beginning of a new moon age?
Well, that's what I've been reading. The Apollo book is going to take me some time to finish, I think. I'm not sure what I'll read next. There's a book about London that I'm intereted in, maybe I'll read that next!
